I am an architect by profession, though my pursuit of creative expressions in design is broader than just architectural design. Outside of work, I also pursue adventures in the great outdoors.
I earned a B. ENVD. with an Architecture emphasis from the University of Colorado at Boulder, (2000). I worked as an Intern Architect in Connecticut for Jung|Brannen Associates; then at ArchitectureDenver on a monumental pedestrian bridge, private residences, corporate offices and private universities before transferring to SEM Architects where I designed commercial development projects. I joined Engineering Ministries Intl. (EMI) in 2003 and I have had experience designing hospitals, schools, dormitories, chapels, and housing as well as site planning and multi-year master plans. Additionally, I have consulted on projects under construction during my service in South Asia, and taken a leadership role as an Associate Director of Operations & Design overseeing the work of other staff and interns.
During my studies and later profession as an architect in the US, I longed for something deeper to make a difference for change and good in the lives of people through designs I helped to create. I have thrived while working with EMI design teams on projects that have lasting impact in the lives of people in the developing world. Now, having returned to the US, I am prepared to step forward into architecture practice again with fresh perspective and unique experiences to draw from.
I continue to put my experiences cross-culturally and internationally into practice wherever I am located in order to bring exceptional leadership, creative problem solving, unique expression and reliable service.
